Backcountry campsite 0D3 located in the Firehole River drainage near Buffalo Meadows and Little Firehole Meadows, accessible via the Little Firehole Trail from Biscuit Basin. The campsite sits in a river basin approximately 5.8 miles from the Biscuit Basin Trailhead, positioned directly adjacent to a pleasant 10-foot waterfall called Little Firehole Falls. The abundant moving water provides an excellent reliable water source. The site offers access to additional waterfalls, including Precipitous Falls (a 30-foot waterfall) located about 100 yards downstream from camp. This walk-in site is considered the preferred choice in the area due to its fresh water and waterfall location. Basic amenities include bear-resistant food storage. Year-round permits required through Recreation.gov with prime season from late June through September and a maximum 3 consecutive nights stay limit.
