Sanford Park is a free, primitive campground managed by the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation, situated below Tiber Dam along the Marias River with direct access to Lake Elwell (Tiber Reservoir). Spanning 181 miles of shoreline, the reservoir draws anglers targeting northern pike, walleye, and rainbow trout. On-site facilities include vault toilets and a boat launch. Sites are first-come, first-served with a 14-day maximum stay. The campground is located approximately 18 miles southwest of Chester, Montana, via a gravel access road.
