A remote paddle-in campsite in the North Maine Woods near Seboomook Lake in Somerset County. This primitive site requires non-motorized boat access and offers 1 campsite with vault toilet facilities but no water. Managed by North Maine Woods with camping permits issued at checkpoint gates. Fees are $12 per person per night for Maine residents and $15 for non-residents, with free camping for visitors under 18. Sites are first-come, first-served with no reservations accepted. Maximum stay is two weeks per campsite. Open seasonally from May through October. As a designated fire permit campsite, fires require a Maine Forest Service Fire Permit which can be obtained by calling the Northern Region Headquarters at (207) 435-7963 Monday-Friday 8am-4pm. Access is by paddling only, making this a true backcountry experience in the Seboomook Lake wilderness area. The campsite is located at coordinates 46.3869762�N, 69.9231254�W at approximately 1,142 feet elevation.
