Spoonbill Sandbar is a primitive camping area on the Bartram Canoe Trail in the Mobile-Tensaw Delta. Unlike the floating platforms elsewhere on the trail, this is a land-based sandbar campsite available on a first-come, first-served basis. Located along the delta's waterways, the site is accessible only by paddle craft and offers a rustic camping experience in one of Alabama's most biodiverse wetland ecosystems. The site provides a free wilderness camping option for kayakers and canoeists exploring the trail system.
Open year-round
