Located in the White Mountains National Recreation Area south of Fairbanks, this campground sits on the bank of Nome Creek in a grove of tall white spruce trees. Access requires driving to Mile 57 of the Steese Highway, then 7 miles on U.S. Creek Road and 12 miles on Nome Creek Road. The facility offers 20 campsites including one group site, each with parking, picnic tables, and fire rings. Hand pump wells and vault toilets serve the campground. Activities include fishing in Nome Creek, hiking a 3-mile loop trail to Table Top Mountain, and river access for paddlers on Beaver Creek Wild and Scenic River. Note that Nome Creek Road closes Monday-Friday from May through October 2025 for road improvements.
