A primitive backcountry camping area accessible by foot trail, located 1.4 miles north of the historic Kennecott mill town. The site is approximately 6.4 miles from McCarthy and requires hiking to reach. Water is available from nearby streams but must be treated before drinking. Bear-resistant food storage boxes are provided to protect campers and wildlife. This undeveloped camping area offers no amenities and is available on a first-come, first-served basis with no fees or reservations required.
