A popular lakeside campground at Mile 147 of the Parks Highway in Denali State Park, offering 73 sites suitable for RVs up to 35 feet and tent camping. Located 147 miles north of Anchorage and 90 miles from Denali National Park entrance, the campground sits along scenic Byers Lake with views of the Alaska Range. Facilities include vault toilets, water access, a boat launch for non-motorized and electric boats, and a dump station open Sundays only. The lake offers fishing for lake trout, rainbow trout, and burbot. Three public-use cabins are available for rental, and kayak/canoe rentals can be arranged. Gasoline motors and aircraft are prohibited on the lake to maintain tranquility. Visitors should bring their own firewood.
