A spectacular campground situated on the shore of Mendenhall Lake with stunning views of the massive Mendenhall Glacier, located approximately 13 miles from downtown Juneau. This campground offers 69 total sites including 9 full-service RV sites with electric, water, and sewer hookups, 9 partial-service RV sites with electric and water hookups, 44 standard nonelectric sites, and 7 walk-to backpacker sites in a separate area. All sites feature tent pads, picnic tables, and fire rings with grills meeting accessibility standards. The facility provides water faucets, vault toilets, two bathhouses with flush toilets and hot showers, and a dump station. The entrance gate closes nightly from 10pm to 7am while the exit gate remains open 24/7. This prime location serves as an excellent base for hiking, wildlife viewing, and exploring the stunning Mendenhall Glacier area.
