A scenic 590-acre state recreation area located 27 miles north of Juneau via Glacier Highway at the confluence of the Eagle and Herbert Rivers with Lynn Canal. The campground offers 16 primitive sites along the Eagle River, surrounded by spruce forest with views of the surrounding mountains. Features include a white sandy beach with an expansive intertidal area ideal for beachcombing and wildlife watching, plus 4 miles of hiking trails. Wildlife including bald eagles, bears, whales, sea lions, and seals frequent the area.
