The largest campground in Portage Valley with 60 sites that accommodate RVs, located approximately one mile from the Begich Boggs Visitor Center at mile 4.1 of Portage Glacier Road. The campground features vault toilets, picnic tables, and campfire rings with trash collection. Half of the sites can be reserved up to 180 days in advance through Recreation.gov, while the other half operate first-come, first-served. A short walk from the campground leads to a salmon viewing platform. The maximum consecutive stay is 14 nights. Water service is available during the operating season but is shut off during winter months. No electric hookups are available.
