Murphys Meadow is the campground and recreational area at McAlester Army Ammunition Plant, located about 8 miles south of McAlester on US Highway 69 near Savanna, Oklahoma. The facility offers 17 RV sites on concrete pads with full or partial hookups (water, sewer, and electric), along with tent-only primitive camping. Amenities include coin-operated laundry, flush restrooms, showers, and an RV dump station. Access is restricted to active duty military, retirees, reservists, National Guard members, DoD civilians, and eligible veterans including Purple Heart recipients and former POWs. The campground operates year-round and requires advance reservations made by phone to Outdoor Recreation.
