A 1,280-acre wildlife management area located approximately 15 miles south of Hartshorne in southeastern Pittsburg County, featuring oak and pine forest with steep slopes and rocky terrain. The area offers a designated camping area at the entrance for hunter and angler use during open hunting seasons, with camping permitted within 50 yards of open roads. Game species include deer, wild turkey, black bear, squirrel, rabbit, and furbearers such as coyote, bobcat, raccoon, beaver, skunk, and opossum. Limited dove and waterfowl opportunities exist, with woodcock found in low numbers. Bolen Creek provides fishing access through the area. The WMA is open for the first nine days of deer gun season only, with quail, snipe, woodcock, duck, rabbit, and squirrel hunting closed during this period. Non-residents must check in and out at no cost.
