Squirrel Pocket is one of 81 designated campsites along the Allagash Wilderness Waterway, located on the southeastern side of Round Pond. Like all AWW campsites, it features a fire ring, picnic table, shelter pole, and outhouse, all well-maintained by AWW rangers and staff. Each campsite is clearly marked with a brown triangle-shaped sign near the riverbank. The site offers good opportunities for swimming and relaxing. Campsites operate on a first-come, first-served basis and cannot be reserved in advance.
