Leman Lake is a backcountry campsite in the southern portion of Banff National Park, accessed via the Burstall Pass Trail from the Burstall Pass parking lot on the Smith-Dorrien/Spray Trail road. The route covers approximately 12.5 km with 549 metres of elevation gain, crossing Burstall Pass (2,286 m) before descending into the Upper Spray River valley. The campground is situated at the base of Mount Lavel in a shaded forest setting, with water available from a nearby stream and a separate eating area apart from tent sites. The lake itself is approximately a 15-minute walk through forest from the campsite. The site serves as a convenient base for day excursions to Palliser Pass on the Continental Divide. A Parks Canada backcountry camping permit (per person per night) and a valid national park entry pass are required.
