Monte Sano State Park sits atop Monte Sano Mountain in Huntsville, offering camping options ranging from primitive tent sites to premium full-hookup RV sites. The campground features 113 sites total, including 23 primitive campsites, 69 water and electric sites with 30/50 amp service, and 21 full-hookup sites with bluff views. Two bathhouses with coin-operated laundry and two dump stations serve campers. The park provides extensive hiking trails through forested terrain, with trails closing 30 minutes before sunset. Firewood is available for purchase. Camping requires a separate nightly fee plus daily park admission.
