Moundville Archaeological Park operates a 34-site campground adjacent to one of the most important Native American archaeological sites in the United States. The campground offers 5 primitive sites without utilities, 24 sites with electric and water hookups, and 5 full-hookup sites with electric, water, and sewer. The facility does not accept reservations; campers must register at the admission building before 4 p.m. on arrival day. A bathhouse with facilities is available, though it closes annually from December 1 through March 1, during which only self-contained RVs are permitted. The maximum stay is 14 days per month. Camping fees are charged in addition to regular park admission.
