An informal riverside camping area along the Gulkana National Wild and Scenic River near the Richardson Highway. This primitive site is one of several unimproved camping spots used by river runners and anglers along the BLM-managed sections of the Gulkana River. The river is accessible from two developed BLM campgrounds: Sourdough Creek Campground at Mile 147.5 and Paxson Lake Campground at Mile 175 on the Richardson Highway. River running season typically runs from early June through mid-September. No fees are charged for river use or camping at informal sites.
