The preserve has no roads, trails, designated camping areas, visitor facilities, or administrative offices. Camping is permitted anywhere on the vast tundra in this true backcountry setting. Access is only by chartered aircraft from Kotzebue or Bettles. Visitors must be completely self-sufficient with wilderness camping experience.
