A primitive designated camping area located on Upper Twin Lake, just west of the historic Dick Proenneke cabin site. Hope Creek is one of the few established camping locations in Lake Clark National Park. The campground features a bear-proof food locker and access to Hope Creek for water (requires treatment). Located in a remote wilderness setting, the site serves as a base for exploring the valley above Proenneke's famous cabin. Access is only by chartered aircraft from Anchorage, Kenai, or Homer. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no reservations accepted.
