Brooks Camp offers primitive camping in Katmai National Park with a 60-person capacity (no designated individual sites). The campground features three covered cooking shelters, electric bear fence perimeter, two vault toilets, food and gear storage caches, fuel lockers, and potable water (June 1-September 18). Access is by floatplane only from King Salmon. The location provides world-renowned bear viewing opportunities at Brooks Falls and the Brooks River platform, with peak viewing during salmon runs in late June-July and September. Group size limited to 6 people maximum, with stay limits of 7 nights in July and 14 nights per calendar year.
