A 25-acre state recreation site located near the mouth of Pasagshak Bay on Kodiak Island, approximately one hour southwest from Kodiak via gravel Pasagshak Road. Established in 1980 to provide public access to the lower Pasagshak River for sport fishing, camping, and picnicking. The site offers 6 tent campsites and 6 RV parking sites with a 40-foot size limit, all first-come first-served with a 7-night maximum stay. Amenities include hand-pump well water, wheelchair-accessible toilets, and 4 picnic shelters. The Pasagshak River ranks among Kodiak Island outstanding sport fishing streams for Dolly Varden, sockeye, pink, chum, and silver salmon. The area hosts brown bears, whales, seals, eagles, and various seabirds.
