A rustic family campground in Black River State Forest featuring 38 non-electric campsites, including one ADA-accessible site. The facility operates year-round with limited winter camping when conditions and staffing permit. Three vault toilet buildings and hand pump water are available throughout the campground. Guests enjoy access to a man-made lake with a swimming beach and canoe launch, perfect for fishing and water recreation. The campground offers firewood sales, garbage and recycling services, and connects to interpretive trails and off-road bike trails. Each site includes a picnic table and fire ring. The area is preparing to add additional river sites in 2026 depending on vegetation growth. Note that water systems may not be available from approximately October 1 through May 15 due to weather conditions. All sites require advance reservations.
