A 1,034-acre Wildlife Management Area in Fluvanna County, located south of State Route 6 east of Scottsville. The area is open to the public for primitive camping along with hunting, fishing, hiking, and horseback riding. Access requires a Restore the Wild Membership, Virginia hunting license, freshwater fishing license, boat registration, or an access permit for persons 17 years of age or older. The WMA provides access to both the Hardware River and the James River, with a concrete boat ramp offering small boat and canoe access to the James River. The site may be closed during certain times of year for hunting or land management activities, so visitors should check for seasonal access restrictions before planning a visit.
