A free dispersed camping area on BLM land along Hole in the Rock Road about a quarter mile south of Highway 12. Named for the numerous RVs that congregate in this wide open field with scattered pinyon pine and juniper trees. The area offers stunning scenery with views of the surrounding landscape particularly beautiful at sunset. Easily accessible by any size rig including large Class A motorhomes. The site has no services restrooms or drinking water requiring campers to be self-sufficient and practice pack-in pack-out principles. Small junipers and scrub trees provide minimal shade and wind protection. The area can become mushy and potentially impassable during rain. Part of Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument with a 14-day stay limit and free overnight permit required.
