Nehalem River Park and Campground (formerly Vernonia Airport Park) is a primitive campground situated in old growth fir, maple, and alder trees alongside the Nehalem River, located 4 miles southwest of Vernonia off Timber Road next to the Vernonia Municipal Airport. The campground offers 17 RV/tent sites (no hookups) in a natural forest setting along the river. All sites operate on a first-come, first-served basis, except when reserved for group camping. The facility is closed December 1st through April 1st each year.
