Calico Pond, also known as Lieb Pond, is located within the 865-acre Gee Brook State Forest in Cortland County. The pond covers six acres and offers fishing opportunities for pickerel, largemouth bass, perch, and black crappie (calico bass), from which the pond gets its name. Four designated primitive campsites are available on a first-come, first-served basis. The access bridge over Gee Brook no longer provides vehicular access but is maintained as a footbridge. Permits are required for stays exceeding three nights or for groups of ten or more people.
