Jack Sinn Memorial Wildlife Management Area encompasses 1,500 acres of saline wetlands in Saunders County, Nebraska, located south of Ceresco along Rock Creek. Named in honor of wildlife biologist Jack Sinn, who died in a plane crash while surveying deer populations, this WMA is owned and managed by the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission. The area preserves some of the best remaining saline wetlands in eastern Nebraska, providing critical habitat for hundreds of bird species. Salt flats attract migrating waterfowl including sandpipers and plovers, while wading birds like herons and egrets hunt the waters. Grassland birds such as meadowlarks and bobolinks frequent the area, and Short-eared Owls regularly appear in winter.
