The area features wooded habitats, cropland, grasses, and marshy areas suitable for wildlife viewing and outdoor recreation. Primitive camping is permitted for up to 14 consecutive days within any 30-day period unless otherwise posted. As a Nebraska WMA, facilities are minimal with no restrooms, trash receptacles, or developed amenities. Open fires are permitted only in provided fireplaces, grills, or fire rings, though personal gas/propane stoves and charcoal grills may be used. The area is open year-round for hunting, trapping, fishing, hiking, and nature study.
