Sand Point is a waterfront day-use area within Tongue River Reservoir State Park, located along the reservoir in southeastern Montana's Big Horn County. The area features sheltered picnic tables and a sandy beach popular for swimming. Its position directly on the reservoir provides easy access for fishing and boating. The surrounding landscape is defined by red shale formations and juniper canyons typical of this region. Managed by Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks, the area is open to Montana residents with a valid vehicle registration (which includes the state parks fee) and to nonresidents paying a per-vehicle day-use fee.
