Tywappity Community Lake is a 37-acre fishing lake managed by the Missouri Department of Conservation in Scott County. The 119-acre area features woodland trails, primitive camping opportunities, and excellent fishing for bass, sunfish, crappie, and catfish. Facilities include a pavilion with picnic tables and grills, vault toilets, a boat ramp (electric motors only), and a 2.5-mile hiking trail. Camping requires a special use permit and is limited to 14 consecutive days per 30-day period. The area is open 24 hours for camping and fishing activities. Located near Chaffee, the lake offers peaceful nature experiences with opportunities for birdwatching and photography.
