A 2,617-acre conservation area located five miles northeast of Jamestown along the Missouri River, offering over 5 miles of river frontage. Named after the steamboat Plowboy which sank in the area during the mid-19th century. The area features riparian forests, wetlands, old fields, forested bluffs, and an old river slough. Primitive camping is available at designated sites and boat-in locations, with a 14-day limit in any 30-day period. Popular for fishing and hunting, with no developed amenities.
