?? CAMPGROUND CLOSED THROUGH LATE SPRING 2026: The modern campground is closed for electrical and septic system upgrades and conversion of 44 sites to full-hookup. Day-use facilities and boat launch remain open. Contact the park for reopening updates. A 62-acre lakeside state park near Gaylord, established in 1920 with infrastructure built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in 1935. When open, the park features 155 modern campsites with electrical service divided into north and south loops, most sites shaded by oaks, maples and pines with views of Otsego Lake. Facilities include more than a half-mile sandy beach, accessible fishing pier, two-lane boat launch, ADA accessible boardwalk, two playgrounds, volleyball and horseshoe courts, modern restrooms with showers, sanitation station, and a mini cabin overlooking the lake. A park store operating Memorial Day through Labor Day offers ice cream, food, and merchandise. Easily accessed from I-75. Reservations available through Michigan DNR system.
