A primitive camping area within the 43,637-acre Sherburne Wildlife Management Area, located in the Morganza Floodway system of the Atchafalaya Basin. The area is jointly managed by LDWF, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Features two designated primitive camping areas with vault toilets and picnic tables. The nearby Sherburne Shooting Range offers rifle, pistol, skeet/trap, and archery facilities. A Wild Louisiana Stamp ($2/day) is required for access if you do not have a Louisiana hunting or fishing license. Camping is free with permitted access. The area is accessible via Highway 975, connecting to Highway 190 at Krotz Springs or I-10 at Whiskey Bay.
