Grassy Pond Recreation Area is a Moody AFB-managed outdoor facility located near Lake Park, Georgia, open to both military personnel and the general public. The 500+ acre property features a 275-acre fishing pond, 39 RV sites with water, 30/50-amp electric, sewer, and cable connections, plus 19 cabins and tent camping areas. Facilities include showers, laundry, Wi-Fi, a dump station, boat ramp, boat rentals, hiking and nature trails, a splash pool, playground, basketball and volleyball courts, and covered group pavilions. A per-person day-use entrance fee applies for public visitors. Note: the facility has undergone phased reopening following hurricane damage in 2023-2024; check current status with Moody AFB before visiting.
