A primitive designated campsite on the Florida National Scenic Trail within Twin Rivers State Forest in Madison County. Located along the Suwannee River corridor between Withlacoochee River and Ellaville, the site features benches, a fire ring, and some weather shelter. A trail relocation in this section utilizes an old underpass beneath an active railroad and passes under the Old US 90 and US 90 bridges, taking hikers close to Suwannacoochee Spring and past Ellaville ghost town ruins. The site is one of several primitive campsites in the 16,000+ acre forest managed by Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. Access requires hiking in from the Florida Trail. Less than a mile off-trail to convenience stores at Suwannee Springs and Ellaville. The forest offers no vehicle camping and no potable water on site.
