Juniper Campground is located near the summit of Mount Diablo at approximately 3,000 feet elevation in Mount Diablo State Park. This is the park's largest campground with 37 campsites that can accommodate RVs up to 20 feet and tents. Each site includes a picnic table, fire ring, and food storage locker. The campground provides flush toilets, hot showers, and potable water. Open year-round with reservations available up to six months in advance through ReserveCalifornia. From the campground, visitors have access to numerous hiking trails including routes to the summit. The high elevation provides cooler temperatures and panoramic views of the Bay Area. Standard California State Parks campground fees apply at $30 per night.
