Browns Inscription is one of five designated primitive camping areas along the Colorado River between Glen Canyon Dam and Lees Ferry, accessible only by small boat. Located on a remote stretch of the river, this boat-in campsite sits well above the waterline and requires a short walk from your vessel. The site features a toilet and fire pit (ground fires prohibited - use provided fireplace or portable fire pan). No camping fees or permits required, though Glen Canyon entrance and vessel use fees apply. Camping limited to 14 consecutive days on a first-come, first-served basis. All trash and burned charcoal must be packed out; wood collection prohibited. Do not boat below the cable downstream from Lees Ferry launch ramp due to dangerous Grand Canyon rapids.
