A historical park and campground located at the site of Alabamas only territorial capital near St. Stephens. The facility offers diverse lodging options including 9 cabins, over 40 RV sites with full hookups (50-amp electric, water, and sewer), and primitive tent camping areas. RV sites on the bluff include nearby access to showers, restrooms, and laundry facilities. The park can accommodate vehicles up to 60 feet in length. Recreational amenities include a 70-acre quarry lake, over 15 miles of hiking and horseback riding trails, an 18-hole disc golf course added in 2018, boat launches, and swimming areas. The park grounds contain remains of the original town of St. Stephens which experienced its heyday from 1799-1829, making it one of the most important historical and archaeological sites in Alabama. Day-use admission is $2 for adults and $1 for children over 5 years old.
