TEMPORARILY CLOSED FOR RENOVATIONS (Expected reopening: Winter 2025-2026) Campground D is one of four campground loops at Lake Lurleen State Park, a 1,625-acre facility located nine miles from Tuscaloosa. When operational, the park offers 91 modern campsites total across all loops, with sites in Loop D providing water and electric hookups. The park centers on a 250-acre lake and includes modern bathhouses, fishing, boat rentals, paddleboats, beach access, and dining facilities. Limited trail access remains available during renovations with approximately 15 miles of trails open. Contact the park at 205-339-1558 for current reopening status.
