About

Alabama's largest state park, located near Birmingham in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. The campground offers 84 improved campsites and 60 primitive sites, operating year-round. Improved sites provide modern amenities including electrical and water hookups, with some offering full sewer connections. The campground features shower facilities, laundry services, and an RV dump station. Reservations require a non-refundable $5.25 fee per campsite and can be made online. Campground check-in is at 2 PM with an 11 AM checkout time. Maximum camping stay is 14 nights, extended to 31 nights during the winter season (November 1 to March 31). Discounts of 15% are available for seniors aged 62 and over, ADA-eligible guests, and Alabama state employees.
