About

A US Army Corps of Engineers campground located on the backwaters of the Alabama River near Montgomery. The facility features 142 campsites divided into two loops: Catoma Loop (sites 1-75 with full hookups including newly renovated concrete pads and sewer) and Antioch Loop (sites with water and electric). The campground operates year-round with modern amenities including flush toilets, hot showers, drinking water, dump stations, and laundry facilities. Recreation opportunities include fishing for crappie, bass, and catfish, boating via the boat ramp, a basketball court, playground, and access to the nearby 12,500-acre Lowndes Wildlife Management area for hunting. Group picnic shelters are available.
