A state historic site campground overlooking the Coosa River, currently closed for infrastructure repairs and upgrades. When operational, the facility offers 39 RV sites with electric and water hookups, each with a grill and concrete picnic table. A central bathhouse and dump station at the exit serve the campground. A group tent site is available by reservation. Standard RV camping costs $20 per night with discounts for seniors (65+) and military personnel. Registration is required between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. at the visitor center, or with the camp host between 4 and 9 p.m. Located one mile south of Wetumpka and two miles west of U.S. Highway 231 in Elmore County. Contact the park before visiting to confirm reopening status.
