Paul Grist State Park encompasses 1,080 acres centered around a 100-acre lake in the Black Belt region near Selma. The campground offers 11 RV sites with full hookups including water, sewer, and 30/50 amp electrical service, all overlooking the lake surrounded by southern pines and hardwoods. An ADA-accessible bathhouse is maintained daily. Camping rates vary seasonally, with higher weekend rates April through October and discounted weekly and monthly rates November through March. Senior citizens 62+ and 100% disabled persons receive 10% discounts on weeknights March-October, and 15% November-February. The park offers fishing, boating, swimming, and features on the Alabama Black Belt Birding Trail. A 4% lodging tax and $3 convenience fee apply to all reservations.
