A primitive campground located at the Chief Ladiga Trail trailhead in Anniston. The facility features 16 campsites nestled within a pecan grove, offering a natural setting for tent camping. On-site amenities include restroom facilities, a drinking fountain, a gazebo, and trail parking. The campground serves as a gateway to the Chief Ladiga Trail, Alabama's first long-distance rails-to-trails conversion. The paved trail extends approximately 39.5 miles through Calhoun and Cleburne Counties, connecting the cities of Anniston, Weaver, Jacksonville, and Piedmont. The trail seamlessly links with Georgia's Silver Comet Trail, creating over 105 miles of continuous paved pathway for walking, cycling, and other non-motorized recreation. Reservations require a $25 deposit and can be submitted to the Anniston Aquatics & Fitness Center.
