A historical state park preserving the remains of a Civil War-era iron furnace complex in central Alabama. The park encompasses 40 camping sites, offering both improved sites with water and electricity as well as primitive camping options. Facilities include modern restrooms with hot showers and access to water and electrical hookups. The park operates on a first-come, first-served basis for camping reservations. Open year-round from sunrise to sunset, the site provides opportunities to explore scenic trails, historical ruins, and natural surroundings. Located along a spring-fed creek, the park offers access to swimming, fishing, and hiking activities.
