Slipper Lake covers 9 acres with a maximum depth of 20 feet and is stocked with rainbow trout by the Alaska Department of Fish and Game. The area offers primitive camping alongside the lake with an unimproved boat launch. Access is via Glenn Highway to mile 60.9, then north on Jonesville Road for 2 miles to a gravel parking area. The Matanuska-Susitna Borough, in partnership with Alaska Department of Natural Resources, is planning a new shooting park, restrooms, and developed campground facilities at the Jonesville Public Use Area near Slipper Lake, with construction expected to begin in 2027 depending on funding and state regulatory approvals.

Seventeenmile, Slipper, Long, Ravine, Weiner, Knob and North Knob lakes all have rainbow trout.
