Government Peak Campground is a small, intimate facility situated along the cascading Little Susitna River in the Hatcher Pass Management Area. The campground offers eight campsites available for either tent camping or small RVs, each equipped with a designated fire ring and picnic table. Located at Mile 11 of Hatcher Pass Road, the campground provides access to an extensive trail system for nordic skiing, hiking, fat tire biking, and mountain biking. The area is open only during summer months. Visitors should bring their own firewood as it is not provided on-site, and no potable water is available. Cell service is not available in this area.
